Who are we?
Beta Theta Pi is a national fraternity with 120 chapters around the United States and Canada.
We are Men Of Principle and through that idea our fraternity is one which puts a very heavy emphasis on:
- Academic Excellence - Beta has one of the highest GPAs of any national fraternity in the NIC, with a 3.12 GPA nationally. Beta provides the resources necessary for its members to succeed and expects them to achieve high standards, which is why Beta has one of the highest chapter minimum grade expectations in the fraternal community... 2.8 GPA.

-Lifelong Friendship - Beta has over 170 years of which still holds strong today. By participating in symbolic ceremonies, learning and singing many of the songs, and understanding the context of Beta Lore, members learn what it means to be a Beta and experience deep bonds of friendship through a 100% positive education process.

-Community Service - The experience of being a Beta encourages men to serve their university, fraternal and local communities. The fraternity's responibility to community extends beyond philanthropy, calling for Betas to give their time to the service of their communities.

- Leadership Development - Betas participate in a system of self-governance, bound by trust and responsibility, which nurtures the development of social and leadership skills. Not only are there leadership positions to hold in each chapter, but Beta is committed to developing its members into the leaders of tomorrow. In 2012, over 1,600 Beta undergraduates attended one of the award-winning leadership development programs.
